AboutThe association was formed in 2010 to strengthen the unity of the Sangha by having the association as a forum for participation, vision, transparency, tasks, application for approval of the association as a religious community, and cooperation with the Fund - the owner of Gomde.Our work is under the Statutes (see below): To preserve, disseminate and promote the understanding of Buddhism in both its classical and contemporary forms and expressions. This means that there are communication tasks within Gomde and outreach to the public. Moreover, we have set ourselves to raise funds specifically for residents and visitors lamas, support to educational institutions that meet the Ka-Nying Dharma line purposes, and support for humanitarian work. Moreover, it is our purpose to seek approval of the association as a religious community, which will allow us to name, merry and bury under the line traditions. Here in the autumn of 2011, we have prioritized the work as you can see under work areas. The association is based on voluntary work and we are dependent on support from the Sangha. In September 2011 we where 160 members from different countries, we are very happy for this and we would obviously like to be many more. Our economy is based on subscriptions and donations.
